    Skiing: The Wheel House is conveniently situated between the Big 
     White Ski Resort in Kelowna and Silver Star Resort in Vernon.      Great hills, great snow and reasonable lift prices.

    Golfing: There are a number of golf courses within close proximity to      the Wheel House Bed and Breakfast, courses which offer a challenge       for the advanced golfer to the beginner. Championship courses include      the Predator Ridge Golf Resort, Sunset Ranch Golf and Country Club.      Shadow Ridge, Kelowna Springs and the popular Bear and Quail Layouts      at the Okanagan Golf Club. For a quick game, there’s also a Par 3      executive course at nearby Aspen Grove. 

    Beaches and Boats: Warm, sandy, uncrowded beaches are just
     minutes away at Wood Lake, Kalamalka Lake and Okanagan Lake.  
     Sun and fun for couples and families alike. Why not rent a sea-doo
     or a boat at the Turtle Bay Marina on Wood Lake.

    Wineries: Lunches, tours and wine tastings at the Gray Monk Winery
     and Arrowleaf Cellars located close to the Wheel House. Sample some
     of BC’s world famous wines.



   Dining: There are dozens of restaurants in the region, which cater to a wide variety of tastes.
